1 jar (700 mL) Pasta Sauce
4-5 Slices bacon, finely chopped
1 Finely chopped onion
1/3 cup (75 mL) Vodka or chicken broth
1/3 cup (75 mL) Whipping cream
1/4 cup (50 mL) Chopped fresh parsley

Cooking Steps

Step 1

Cook penne rigate according to package directions.

Step 2

Saute bacon 2-3 minutes. Add onion and sautÃ© until tender. Add vodka; cook 1 minute or until most of the vodka has reduced. Stir pasta sauce and cream; simmer 4-5 minutes.

Step 3

Toss penne rigate with sauce and serve topped with parsley.
