Turkey Meatball Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce
Cooking Steps
In a large bowl combine breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, seasoning, salt, pepper and egg. Mix together with fork until combined.
Stir in ground turkey and mix together until combined.
Form into 1-inch meatballs, placing one cube of mozzarella cheese inside each meatball.
Preheat large sauté pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tbsp olive oil.
Cook meatballs until golden brown on all sides, about 7 minutes. Set aside.
Preheat medium saucepot over medium-high heat. Add 2 tbsp olive oil and garlic. Let garlic brown slightly, about 2-3 minutes, being careful not to burn.
Add tomatoes, bay leaf, and oregano and let simmer about 15 minutes.
Season with salt, pepper, chili flakes and basil.
Add cooked meatballs to sauce and simmer, about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile cook spaghetti according to package instructions
Serve turkey meatball marinara over drained spaghetti.
